We had been here once before in 2015 or 2016 when it was a Sands property. Its not well noted in their info but there are minifridges and coffee makers in the rooms. Large room with a really nice bathroom and a large shower that wasn't afraid to give you enough hot water to get clean. Horse racing available on certain days of the week, be sure to check racing schedule for times and days.īest surprise here was how well the rooms are layed out. They do have designated non-smoking areas but the smell of smoke permeates the entire area. The bad: casino floor was very small and they allow smoking in the casino.
Breakfast is especially challenging with only one coffee shop being open when we were there and they had a very limited menu. The so-so: dining options are limited on weekdays are limited with many restaurants being closed except for on the weekends.
The staff in all areas were very professional and accommodating. The good: the hotel room, the casino, the restaurants and the restrooms were all very clean. Surprisingly good casino hotel for the hinterlands of Pennsylvania.
